SUMMARY:

The Business Systems Analyst – Finance partners with Finance and Procurement leaders and their team to analyze and improve work processes by leveraging information technological systems and services. The BSA will work on requirements definition, vendor management and implementation for our Finance, Manufacturing and Project Accounting systems. In addition, s/he will provide support for our existing Oracle E-Business Suite and a variety of manufacturing applications used in these business processes.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work as part of a cross-functional (IT, Finance and Supply Chain) and cross geographical team to drive business performance in H&V.
  • Gather and facilitate alignment on global business requirements and priorities for the purpose of supporting the launch of the financial functions within our manufacturing platform
  • Take a lead role guiding H&V as we evaluate and select new applications to support our business functions.
  • Provide technical and functional support to our implementation partners and vendors.
  • Key functional architect for the integration of Finance and Procurement systems with other enterprise systems, services, and suppliers.
  • Production Support for Finance and Procurement systems, including researching and resolving problems; supporting scheduled activities; and recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.
  • Recommend process improvements, innovative solutions, policy changes and/or major variations from established policy that must be approved by appropriate leadership prior to implementation.
  • Develop specifications, assist in development, maintain and support a variety of reports or queries using appropriate reporting tools.
  • Assist Finance and Procurement teams with the development of user procedures, guidelines and documentation for IT systems.
  • Develop and provide training on new IT systems, processes and functionality.
  • Maintain awareness of current trends in Finance and Procurement systems. Participate in local user group meetings/conferences.
  • Ensure all IT systems meet the data privacy requirements of H&V locations.
  • Perform all work in a safe manner.
  • And other related duties as assigned or required.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • At least five years of proven results oriented work experience in IT or Finance/Procurement functions.
  • Experience in a leading or key contributor role in selection, implementation, and support of cloud based IT systems.
  • One to two years of successful experience leading IT projects.
  • Experience with Agile (Scrum) methodologies preferred. 
  • Experience in Manufacturing  
  • Excellent communications skills. 
  • Proven decision making skills and the ability to defend those decisions.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENT:

  • Must be able to lift and move 20 lbs.
  • Must be able to travel to all H&V locations globally.

SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for ensuring the cost effective and efficient procurement of raw materials to our manufacturing facilities, along with leading the businesses in identifying, managing, and prioritizing cost out in direct material programs utilizing Strategic Sourcing, Supply Base Management and Total Cost Analysis strategies in attaining their Operating Plans.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify raw material sourcing strategies, negotiate pricing and delivery to ensure uninterrupted flow of raw material to H&V facilities through effective supply base management. 
  • Identify alternate suppliers, coordinate qualification trails and supplier workshops with key suppliers. 
  • Utilize strategic sourcing and total cost analysis strategies to drive suppliers and spend including online auctions to effectively manage the commodities.
  • Strategically manage raw materials spend; ensure quality, sourcing and commodity strategies are in place, competitively priced and compliant with any laws/regulations and working capital levels meet or exceed corporate objectives.
  • Identify cost savings opportunities and manage cost reduction activities to achieve 5% annual cost reduction goal with supply chain leadership, utilizing a formal strategic sourcing process.
  • Collect and analyze market and supplier data, develop sourcing options for review and concurrence by the applicable business unit, and implement approved strategies timely to capture savings and value to the business.
  • Gain supplier involvement in supplier management to drive continuous improvement and productivity.
  • Lead cross-functional team(s) in the identification of alternative products and suppliers, facilitate qualification trials, and conduct supplier management to drive continuous improvement.
  • And other related duties as assigned or required.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • BS/BA degree required. MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years experience in raw material sourcing and procurement, preferably in engineered papers and nonwovens related industry.
  • Excellent background in supplier management, commodity strategy development/execution, contract negotiations and manufacturing operations.

 

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, ETC:

  • Thorough knowledge of suppliers globally and global sourcing strategies; including low cost country sourcing experience, good knowledge of energy and logistic markets.
  • Excellent financial acumen, ability to analyze budgets, international exchange rates, and financial ramifications of contracts and the ability to measure success and show results in bottom line.
  • Excellent organization capabilities and project management skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment.

SUMMARY:

The Facility & Plant Engineering Manager will be responsible for providing overall direction, leadership, and support for our facility and engineering programs to achieve the plant’s long range and annual operating plans. This position will have responsibility for the engineering and design of capital projects for the plant, the wastewater treatment plant & landfill operations, and the overall site infrastructure and grounds. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and support the planning, design and implementation of facilities and operational capital and engineering programs, including Energy and Sustainability improvements. 
  • Lead and direct the overall effectiveness of the plant WWTP including optimizing efficiency, staffing, investment and reporting obligations.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance in all matters associated with plant, facilities, engineering, WWTP and landfill operations.
  • Responsible for the upkeep of site infrastructure including grounds, dams, landfill, and the implementation of workplace environment improvements.
  • Demonstrate work practices and standards that are consistent with expected H & V cultural values and Guiding Principles.
  • Responsible for evaluating energy efficiency, calculating energy and demand savings associated with energy efficient measures, and implementing engineered solutions to continuously improve.
  • Support the maintenance manager, process engineers and operations team with reliability initiatives and efforts to continually improve assets.
  • Lead the development of the annual capital project program for new equipment and major repairs through the management of assigned capital projects and project leaders.
  • Responsible for effective project management (capital & expense projects), including scope, engineering design, project documentation, project installation/deployment & commissioning, validation, and closeout.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • BS in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Civil, Environmental, or Paper Science.
  • 5 years of relevant experience, including employment in a process‐related industrial facility and/or an industrial consulting engineering design firm.
  • Must have strong Project Management Skills and Competencies and project Controls Skills such as estimating, scheduling and cost reporting.
  • Investigate and stay abreast of new technologies and display leadership to conceptualize projects, including identifying the technologies to be used for new applications and extensions of existing architecture.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple priorities, and establish and meet financial and schedule constraints;
  • Must be highly motivated and have the ability to work both independently and as a collaborative team leader and member.
  • Demonstrated experience managing teams consisting of internal staff and external contractors, supervising engineering and construction activities, and preparing turnover documentation.

SUMMARY: 

Participates in complex research and development activities linked to new process and product initiatives using established mathematical, scientific and statistical techniques. Experience in process technology and controls preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build up a detailed, in-depth knowledge of H&V’s process for making innovative media
  • Work directly with Technology product teams to develop new products for existing markets identified by the business units.
  • Work with manufacturing, purchasing and technology on Profit Improvement Initiatives (PIP).  Lead cross-functional teams for new products and/or advanced processes.
  • Benchmark competitor technology and grades.
  • Provide Technical guidance to management, Business Unit (Sales & Marketing), customers and manufacturing on new and modified product development efforts.
  • Develop expertise in appropriate media technology, as necessary to plan, execute and evaluate laboratory and machine-based trial programs, using the Design of Experiments (DOE) methodology.
  • Use appropriate DFSS/DFM tools and stage gating process for development projects
  • Keep abreast of relevant industry, intellectual property, applications and materials technology trends through literature, seminars and market contact.
  • Supervise and mentor directly allocated technicians to develop maximum potential.
  • Work in highly energized cross functional project teams on major product development initiatives.
  • Provide technical reports and presentations to internal and external project stakeholders.

  • Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Science, Polymer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience.
  • Six Sigma methodology and Lean manufacturing principals.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required

SUMMARY:

This position will safely fabricate, troubleshoot, rebuild, and repair plant equipment to maximize safety, quality, and uptime. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Complies with safety, environmental, and quality requirements established by external and internal regulations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • State of Oregon Journeyman Millwright Card (or equivalent) required.
  • 5 years of industrial mechanic experience. Demonstrated skills in all of the following: gas cutting and welding, SMAW welding, MIG welding, TIF welding, pipe threading and fitting, machine tool operation, proper hoisting, lifting and rigging procedures, pump and blower rebuilding, lubrication, large bearing setup procedures, shaft alignment practices, blueprint reading.
  • Expert-level skills in 2 or more of the following: hydraulic systems, water treatment and purification systems, waste water systems, casting and curing refractory, precious metal fabrication techniques, natural gas/air mixing and delivery systems, instrument calibration, gas/diesel/electric vehicle systems and mechanical power transmission.
